Mlle Louise Pernet
In card #19 ("Ce bouquet est le trait d'union," 1906), Emma writes to Mlle Louise Pernet, "Tell me in your / next card what your new / [female] friend is doing how old she is / is she pretty [...] Recieve from your little [girl]friend of sand these / best kisses". The other cards dispatched from Emma (#42, "Puisque mes fleurs" ; #20, "Vous revez, dites-moi pourquoi?")
In card #33 ("Aimer"), a different sender, Elise (or "Lise" for short) writes: " In a kiss I put / the best of my heart" before signing, "the sincere [female/girl] friend Elise".
Could Elise be this new friend to whom Emma is referring ? The relationship between Mlle. Louise Pernet and Elise ("Lise") is evidently romantic, and the equally romantic content of the postcard imagery complements this conclusion.
